good grief... When people criticize these athletes for going pro, it often sounds a bit like jealousy. Maybe Henson should have stayed at Michigan and suffered another year with a highly predictable offensive scheme that makes it more difficult to beat talented defenses. They're passing the ball much more frequently at U-M during the past decade, but they rarely catch the defenses off guard in key situations. Everything is designed to play it safe, go by a certain book, so that it's harder to criticize the coaches when a mistake is made. The recruiting at Michigan is outstanding, and Carr is an outstanding motivator and leader, but they need to put it all together by opening up the offense, taking some risks, and catching defenses off guard. The appraoch they have is good enough for perennial 9-3 season, but a more imaginative offense is what will give them a chance at the BCS title.
